Accredited with Westword’s “Best Out-of-Pocket Lyrics” (2024) and The Denver Gazette’s “Top 10 Underground Bands Most Worthy of More Mainstream Recognition” (2025), these SEVEN heavy hitters of Denver form the cosmic-gumbonaut named, Horse Bitch. Arriving from 2020’s “Spacin’ Out” LP, the band has grown from a duet of songwriters Dave Knodle and Ashley Mckinney to a full-scale cowpunk/celtic/emo/folk rock band complete with drums, bass, pedal steel, fiddle, and dueling lead guitars brought by the righteous forces of Adam Cabrera, Alec Doniger, Caleb Amelunke, Olivia Shaw, and Riley Merino. The band has gone on to release two additional EP’s, 2021’s “RIP Pistachio” and 2024’s “UVA”. Since then, Horsey-Mania has expeditiously swept across the Colorado front range and throughout the great plains into the midwest.
